Community rallies to help Cross Keys High with back-to-school supplies

Photo by Pixabay on Pexels com A digital donation drive for back-to-school supplies is underway thanks to supporters of Cross Keys High School in Brookhaven An extension of the Leadership Perimeter locality impact project from XYZ the drive will benefit the Apprentice and Family Engagement Center SAFE at Cross Keys The goal is to collect clear backpacks which are required for DeKalb County School District students for distribution to the school s students at an open house event on Wednesday July Other items can be located on the Amazon wishlist The back-to-school drive is the next project of brainchild Tremaine Bagley a member of the Leadership Perimeter operation who designed and executed a digital food drive in spring Keeping with her mission to address food insecurity at the school Bagley has obtained funding and guidance for Cross Keys to build a group garden The project will be funded through a grant from T S C A R E S a global mental soundness organization The garden is scheduled to be completed in early fall At Cross Keys percent of students qualify for free or reduced lunch and several of the students and faculty are reliant on the school s food pantry to make ends meet We re not just providing food we re supporting well-deserving students who demonstrate the power of neighborhood Bagley narrated Rough Draft The post Area rallies to help Cross Keys High with back-to-school supplies appeared first on Rough Draft Atlanta
